The Green Bank for Rural America is pleased to invite community lenders, partners, and local leaders to kick-off a series of events to support rural communities nationwide.
Join the Green Bank on December 4th for a virtual launch that spotlights how innovative financing and community partnerships are sparking new economic futures for rural America. National leaders will share stories of impact, insights, and opportunities on the horizon, with special keynote remarks from Appalachian Community Capital President & CEO Donna Gambrell and Appalachian Regional Commission Federal Co-Chair Gayle C. Manchin.
This is your chance to engage in a critical conversation about opportunities for rural America to benefit from the new energy economy. Join fellow leaders driving change and help shape the future of rural America—your voice matters.
December 4 also marks the opening of applications for community lenders serving rural areas nationwide for the Green Bank’s Phase II Funding – Open Round. The Green Bank prioritizes investments in Appalachia, energy communities, rural communities of color and Native communities. Financing and technical assistance will be available in all eligible rural areas nationwide.
About Phase II Funding – Open Round
Appalachian Community Capital (ACC) is starting the Green Bank for Rural America to help rural areas gain the most benefit from the new energy economy. With our $500 million award from the EPA Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, the Green Bank is rolling out a two-phase funding approach that puts the needs of communities first.
Phase I funding is underway with targeted support for communities hardest hit by Hurricane Helene.
Applications for Phase II Funding – Open Round will open with our December 4 launch event. Phase II activates funding opportunities for community lenders serving Appalachia and rural communities nationwide.
